Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their chase to sign Barcelona ace Marc Bartra after he is believed to have accepted a move to join Napoli, according to reports from the Express.
The 24-year-old was tipped to leave the La Liga champions due to his limited playing time under manager Luis Enrique this past season, featuring in only 11 league starts last term.
Bartra is now said to have accepted the terms offered by the Serie A giants after they look to have stepped up their pursuit of the player.
Napoli have been tipped to undergo a squad overhaul following the departure of former boss Rafa Benitez who is now in charge of Spanish side Real Madrid.
They are also expected to complete the signing of Cagliari defender Davide Astori in the coming days as the Barca ace is now being eyed as another addition.
Apart from the Gunners, Premier League rivals Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be monitoring the situation of the Spanish centre-back.
