Arsenal boost as star player commits to club

Arsenal fans can breath a little easier following Alexis Sanchez’s latest comments, with the Chilean star stating that he is happy at the North London club.

The Gunners moved to sign the dynamic forward from Barcelona in the summer of 2014, with the versatile attacker hitting the ground running in English football.

Sanchez is regarded as one of the most devastating players in the Premier League and his form for Arsenal has suggested that a number of European heavyweights could well make a move for the South American in the future.

Despite this, the former Udinese star has stated that he has no plans to leave the Emirates Stadium and is committed to the Gunners’ cause.

“I am very happy at Arsenal and I’m not thinking about leaving,” The Daily Star quote Sanchez as saying.

“The unity here between fans, club and players is enormous and the supporters have been fantastic.

“We suffer the defeats and enjoy the victories together. This campaign we are demonstrating that we are serious candidates for the Premier League title.

“I think there can be no doubt about our credentials to be champions this time.”

Sanchez has been on the treatment table for the last number of months, but is closing in on a first-team return.

The Chilean is being tipped to play a part in today’s clash against Chelsea, which will be a boost for the title-chasing hosts.
