Arsenal look to have been boosted in regards to the injury to Alexis Sanchez after the club’s medical staff gave him the green light to travel with the Chile squad, Express reports.
The 26-year-old has been on sensational form for the Gunners over the past few weeks, so far registering six goals from his last three appearances.
He recently bagged a brace in the 3-0 victory over title rivals Manchester United at the weekend, but was forced off in the 81st minute and replaced by Kieran Gibbs.
Manager Arsene Wenger later revealed that Sanchez picked up a groin injury during the match against United, but was unable to persuade his star attacker to take a rest during the international break given his love to represent his nation.
“He has a little groin problem.
“Unfortunately he goes to Chile. You cannot stop him from going to Chile and he loves so much to play for his country and he will play against Brazil [on Friday] and Peru [next] Tuesday so the game at home against Brazil he will not want to miss.”
He was allowed to join up with his national team after the club’s medical staff played down the extent of his injury, with Chile now set to provide the forward with another check-up before his two matches.
