Arsenal boss admits to being fan of Newcastle striker

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he rates French striker Loic Remy highly ahead of a possible summer move, as reported by London24.

The Gunners are in the market for a top striker this summer and Remy has been a long term target of Wenger, who opted not to sign him back in June of last year.

Remy has impressed on loan at Newcastle, scoring 13 times, and the Toon have massively struggled without him since he picked up an injury at the start of this year.

Remy is set to leave QPR this summer, unless they gain promotion through the play offs, and Newcastle are holding out to get a cut price deal for the man.

However, Wenger may act swiftly to get his man straight at the end of the season to take the load off of Olivier Giroud as the main striker.

“He is a good striker,” Wenger said.

“But at the moment we are focused on the end of the season, not on transfers.”
