Arsenal boss backs midfielder to be England summer star

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has vowed to get Jack Wilshere fully fit in time for the World Cup this summer, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

Wilshere has been out for over a month with yet another injury, a theme of his career so far.

Wenger does not think his midfield maestro is injury prone and has promised Roy Hodgson that he will do everything he can to make sure he is 100% for the summer.

The Gunners boss has missed a number of players this season through injury, however he hopes Wilshere and England can be successful this summer.

“Jack started jogging last week,” said Wenger.

“I would think he could be back in two or three weeks. He could be back for the end of the season for us.

“I spoke to Roy Hodgson and I told him that Wilshere will be available for England. He will be polished. I think he will go.

“Roy didn’t say he would go, but maybe he didn’t want to show that to me.”

“Yes, he can be the positive surprise, England has a very difficult group and if you come out of a group like that, the belief is really strong.”
