Arsene Wenger is said to be preparing an offer to try and lure Lyon’s on-form midfielder Nabil Fekir to the Emirates as he hopes to save Arsenal’s season, Express reports.
The 21-year-old produced a string of top performance this season, scoring six goals in 13 league starts for the French side as he is attracting interest from the Gunners boss.
It is believed that the Ligue 1 club is keen on keeping hold of the attacking midfielder but could be open to negotiations if they receive offers of more than £8million.
Despite the already overloaded midfield at the disposal of Wenger, the club is said to have already made an enquiry over a potential switch as they plan to make a formal offer in the summer.
The club recently suffered a devastating 3-2 defeat to Stoke City as they went 3-0 down in the first half before staging a two goal comeback with the result receiving huge criticism from the fans.
