Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has ruled out the possibility for Harry Kane to sign for the club due to their rivalry, Express reports.
The 22-year-old was one of the standout performers for his side last season, scoring 21 goals from a total of 34 Premier League appearances (whoscored.com).
Kane was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer and is also said to be a top target for the Red Devils ahead of the January window.
However, despite the Gunners still in the market for another striker, Wenger admitted because Kane plays for Spurs, it is unlikely that he will be able to make a move for his services.
“He has great qualities and he will make a great career,” he said.
“Once a player is at Spurs you don’t even consider him any more.”
The England international was criticised for his performance at the start of the current campaign due to his lack of goals, but has since silenced his critics with a number of good displays.
Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League, but are only five points behind Arsenal who are level on points with Manchester City in first.
