Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will push hard to sign Juventus ace Daniele Rugani this January, according to reports from the Metro.
Rugani has been heavily linked with a move away from the Juventus Stadium in recent weeks, with Manchester United also keen on the Italian.
The centre-back is seen as one of the best young defenders currently on the continent, and could make a switch as soon as January due to his lack of playing time in Turin.
With the Italy national team trio of Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli, and Leonardo Bonucci ahead of him in the pecking order, Rugani has only managed to play three minutes for the Serie A champions, despite being named in the Team of the Year for his exploits with Empoli last term.
And Italian source Tuttosport has claimed that Wenger will do everything in his power to sign the 21-year-old to reinforce his injury-plagued squad.
Rugani made 39 appearances in all competitions for Empoli last season, scoring three goals.
