Arsenal braced for £6m summer bid

With reports that Lukas Podolski has agreed terms with Arsenal over a summer move, it appears that Marouane Chamakh’s days are numbered at the Emirates.

The Moroccan striker hasn’t had any first team action, since being taken off against Leeds United back in early January and has struggled to settle at Arsenal since his move from Bordeaux in the summer of 2010.

Fiorentina are one of the sides reportedly interested in Chamakh and according to the Daily Mail are weighing up a £6m move for the 28-year old to bolster their attack.

Arsene Wenger’s side has stuggled up front this season with Robin van Persie carrying the strikeforce for the large part, which is forcing the Arsenal manager to review his striking options, with Arshavin, Bendtner and Park also set to move on this summer.
