Fiorentina are thought to have made another bid for Arsenal fringe attacker Marouane Chamakh, according to The Daily Mail.

The Morocco international has not been given a prolonged run in the team at the Emirates Stadium, having to watch on from the sidelines as Robin van Persie starts up front.

Even with the Netherlands international making his intentions to leave north London clear, Chamakh is not part of Arsene Wenger’s plans, and will be sold to reduce the wage bill.

Former club Bordeaux are said to be interested in re-signing the centre forward, but as yet a deal has not been concluded.

As such, Fiorentina are ready to steal a march on their French rivals and have made a new offer for the marksman.

The Florence-based club are thought to want to bolster their attack this summer, as they face a battle to keep hold of star striker Stevan Jovetic.

With the summer acquisitions of Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski, Chamakh and Nicklas Bendtner are free to find new clubs.

Chamakh only scored once for the Gunners last season in a disappointing campaign for the African attacker.
