Many supporters hoped for a striker signing in the summer but Mesut Ozil was the only major signing at the Emirates; however the league leaders are set to spend big again this winter.
Olivier Giroud has been the main striker for Arsenal this season but Gazidis has admitted that the Frenchman cannot go the whole season on his own leading the line.
Theo Walcott is closing in on a return and has played the central role at times but the Gunners chief has confirmed that the money is there to be spent on a striker come the New Year.
“We will see where Arsenal will be in January and whether or not the club will invest in another forward,” he told L’Equipe newspaper.
“Olivier Giroud won’t be able to go on all alone until the end of the season. We need to buy.”
