Arsenal are believed to be interested in signing Southampton target Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla before the close of the summer window, Daily Star reports.
The 25-year-old old has been linked with the club over the past few months as manager Arsene Wenger continues his search for another defensive midfielder.
Krychowiak is currently the subject of a scouting assignment, with the Gunners said to have sent scouts to watch him feature in the Super Cup clash against Barcelona yesterday.
He featured for 120 minutes after the match went into extra time, but was unable to help his team claim victory over their La Liga rivals, losing out 5-4.
The Poland international is also being eyed by the Saints who saw their previous £9million offer rejected by the Spanish club.
He featured 48 times in all competitions for his side last term, scoring four goals, and currently has a release clause set at £22million.
