Marouane Chamakh claimed that joining Arsenal was “a dream come true” as the Moroccan was unveiled at the Emirates Stadium.
The former Bordeaux star has been the subject of much Premier League interest in the past two seasons, had hoped that Arsenal would follow through with their interest and Chamakh is absolutely delighted with the move to North London and cannot wait for next season to start.
Chamakh claims to have been a fan of Arsenal since he was a child and hopes that he can play a big part in helping his new club end their 5 year trophy drought.
“This is a dream come true and a great joy to be joining Arsenal,’ said the 26-year-old. ‘My goal was always to play in the Premier League and Arsenal was the choice of my heart.
“Without any hesitation, Arsenal was my preferred club. The team and history of Arsenal, they make me dream. I have been a fan since I was a child.
“I’m very excited about playing at Emirates Stadium. I have heard many great things about the stadium and I cannot wait to be playing there in an Arsenal shirt.
“I will give my best to this club. We have many great players and I will be giving everything to help the team win trophies next season.” Daily Mail
Chamakh has joined Arsenal on a 5 year deal, with Arsene Wenger claiming that his arrival will bring a different dimension to the Gunners attack.
