Arsenal are ready to make a move for in-form Celta Vigo attacker Nolito after Barcelona decided to walk away from a deal to bring their former player back to Camp Nou, Metro report.
The 28-year-old has been in sparkling form over the last 12 months and was a driving force in his side beating Barca 4-1 earlier this season in La Liga.
As such, Nolito has been linked with a move away from Celta, with a £17.6 million release clause reportedly in place.
The European champions had been weighing up a move for the versatile forward but are said to be focussed on capturing younger players.
This decision will allow Arsenal to be the frontrunners to land the twice-capped Spain international in January.
The Gunners have had an inconsistent start to the new campaign and as such Arsene Wenger is under real pressure to deliver in upcoming weeks and months.
