Arsenal are now favourites to secure the services of Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir after his father revealed that his son is only interested in a move to the Emirates, Metro reports.
The Gunners are believed to be monitoring the situation of the 21-year-old who has now scored seven goals and provided four assist in his 15 Ligue 1 starts this season with his club setting a minimum bid of around £8million.
Fekir’s father admitted that his son is keen to remain in France and continue to help his club achieve a Champions League spot and would only pick a move to join Arsene Wenger in the Premier League if he had the chance.
He said: “Nabil would like to finish first or second and play Champions League football with Lyon,’ Mohamed Fekir told French publication Le Parisien.
“If he leaves, it will be for Arsenal. It is the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsene Wenger. He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench.”
