Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar is struggling to agree terms with Napoli, as reported by Sky Sports.
Arsenal had been extremely keen to take the Brazilian across London to the Emirates but Cesar would prefer a move back to Italy and QPR have accepted a bid from Napoli for their stopper.
Cesar’s agent has confirmed that his client will not take a pay cut in order to join Napoli Rafa Benitez, which is one of the many downfalls about QPR pilling so much money into wages on players.
Benitez has shown Cesar that he isn’t going to be bullied in the transfer saga by raising an interest in Liverpool’s Pepe Reina however Cesar is still the main choice.
“The final choice is in De Laurentiis’ hands,” the goalkeeper’s agent, Josias Cardoso, told Radio Crc.
“We have not yet reached an agreement with Napoli about the sum of the goalkeeper’s salary.
“They made me a proposal but it is really far from what Julio is currently earning.”
There has been speculation that Cesar could move to Napoli on loan and despite QPR boss Harry Redknapp seemingly ruling out the prospect, it appears to remain a possibility.
“Julio would go also on loan to Napoli,”
