Arsenal have been halted in their chase to sign Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan after revelations made by his agent Miroslav Bicanic, Daily Star reports.
The 23-year-old is currently on a two-year loan from Dinamo Zagreb, but is believed to be closing in on a permanent deal to secure his services.
He has now emerged as a vital midfielder for Inter boss Roberto Mancini, with his displays catching the eye of Gunners manager Arsene Wenger.
Wenger is keen to reinforce his squad with another defensive midfielder and was hoping to lure Brozovic to the Emirates this month.
However, Bicanic has now come out to reveal that the Croatia international is very happy with his life in Italy and will not be pushing for an exit unless he is forced out.
“Marcelo is happy at Inter, he’s playing well, the fans love him and everyone at the club believes in him. Milan is fantastic,” he said.
“So we’ll only think of a transfer if Inter give the green light. Until then, he’s focused on Inter matches, and how to get the best possible results this season.”
He has already featured 14 times in the Serie A and another one time in the Coppa Italia this term, so far managing to register four goals.
