Arsenal face tough competition from Paris Saint-Germain in their pursuit for Chelsea star Petr Cech, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The 33-year-old has been linked with a host of high profile clubs throughout Europe after growing frustrated due to lack of playing time.
Cech lost his first team role to 23-year-old Thibaut Courtois, who returned from a very successful loan spell at Atletico Madrid back in the summer.
It was believed that the Gunners were in pole position to sign the goalkeeper, but with PSG said to be ready to offer him a five-year deal worth £150,000-a-week, he could now snub a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho admitted that he would rather see his veteran keeper join a club outside the Premier League as he doesn’t want to sell to a direct competitor.
The Czech Republic international has only featured in seven league games this season, with most of his other appearances coming in League Cup and FA Cup fixtures.
