Arsenal have been given a double injury boost ahead of their clash against Watford this weekend, with goalkeeping duo Petr Cech and David Ospina both set to be in contention, according to reports from the Express.
The Gunners were extremely concerned during the international break, with their two main goalkeepers struggling with respective injuries ahead of the league’s final hurdle.
Cech was the first to pick up a knock in a league clash against Swansea early this month, sustaining a calf problem that forced number two Ospina to the fore.
However, the Colombian hurt himself while on duty with Colombia, mounting fears that Arsenal third choice Matt Macey may need to make his debut against the Hornets.
But Ospina has recovered from the minor setback to play for Colombia on Tuesday, while Cech has come out to confirm that he should be fine by the international break.
“I should be fine after the national team break. It’s nothing serious. I’m still motivated and excited for each training session,” he told his official website.
The news will be music to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger’s ears, with the club needing to make up 11 points on league leaders Leicester City.
