Arsenal are ready to step up their chase to sign Juventus star Daniele Rugani after the player is said to have grown frustrated at his limited role, according to Calciomercato, as reported by the Express.
The 21-year-old spent the past two seasons on loan at Empoli after struggling to break into the first team and is currently competing for places with Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, and Andrea Barzagli.
It is said that the centre-back has already told his agent to consider a possible departure from the Serie A champions, with the Gunners among the clubs interested in his services.
Manager Arsene Wenger failed to add a major outfield player to his side this past summer, with the addition of goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea his only reinforcement.
It is now believed that Wenger is prepared to table an offer for Rugani to add more options into his back line, especially with the defender ready to force an exit.
