Arsenal could now be in line to sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain after the striker was left out of the travelling squad which went for a training camp in Marrakech, Metro reports.
The 27-year-old is believed to be looking for a way out due to his disagreement with Laurent Blanc over his role in the squad with Arsene Wenger keen to acquire his services in January.
PSG released a statement saying that most of their players took part in the training, but Cavani didn’t join them as he was left back in Paris, hinting that a move could be near.
The message read: “Paris Saint-Germain’s Brazilian players David Luiz, Marquinhos, Maxwell, Thiago Silva and Lucas arrived, as expected, on Sunday evening in Marrakech and were present at training this morning,”
“Javier Pastore rejoins his teammates this afternoon, while Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi resume training back in Paris.”
The Gunners are now said to be preparing another big money move to secure the services of the Uruguay international who has now scored 13 goals in all competitions this season.
