Arsenal looks to have been hit by even more problems to add to their ever growing defensive concerns as midfield trio Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey, and Jack Wilshere are undergo test to check on their fitness ahead of the vital clash against Galatasaray, Mirror reports.
Club skipper, Arteta, seems to have picked up a problem with his calf as the manager could choose to rest him or risk any further injuries to the very few anchormen left in his squad.
Wilhere, 22, is also causing a headache for Arsene Wenger as his ankle is once again coming back to halt his progression after a string of impressive displays.
Another big concern is Ramsey’s pulled hamstring he picked up in the North London derby against Tottenham Hotpsur with the bad news being he could likely miss up to an entire month or more on the sidelines depending on how serious the results are.
The injuries sustained did not make sense to the Gunners’ boss because two of the three players didn’t even feature in the mid-week Capital One Cup defeat to Southampton.
Wenger said: “We have to really look at what happened.
“There’s no logic as it’s two players who were not involved in the week – no Arteta, not Ramsey – and they had quite a light week for them. We have to analyse what happened there. I don’t understand.”
