Arsenal are said to be in talks with Real Sociedad over the chance to sell out-of-favour star Joel Campbell this summer, according to reports from the Metro.
The 23-year-old was keen to fight for a place in manager Arsene Wenger’s squad, but due to the high competition for places, he is likely to be left out once again.
Campbell has constantly been sent out on loan ever since his arrival back in 2011, completing spells at Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiacos, and most recently Villarreal.
A number of sides have made contact with the Gunners over a move for the Costa Rica international, but is it believed that former Everton boss David Moyes who is now in charge of the Spanish outfits made a personal call to Wenger to help push the move forward.
He was on good form for his country at the 2014 World Cup and featured a total of 16 times in all competitions for Villarreal last season, scoring one goal.
