Arsenal are looking to make an offer for Fiorentina star Norberto Neto, who is also currently a target for Liverpool, according to reports from the Metro.
Neto has been heavily linked with a move away from the Stadio Artemio Franchi following an impressive season with the Viola, which sees them in the Europa League semi-finals.
The Reds were thought to be in pole position the sign the Brazilian, but the Gunners have joined the race for the highly rated goalkeeper.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was keen on Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Cech, but Blues boss Jose Mourinho was reluctant to let the Czech Republic captain join a rival club, with Cech now in discussions with Besiktas.
Serie A champions Juventus are also monitoring Neto’s situation as veteran star Gianluigi Buffon is set to retire in a few years time.
Neto has played 35 games in all competitions this season, keeping 12 clean sheets.
