Arsenal have made a second £35million offer for Real Madrid star Karim Benzema, according to reports from the Express.
Benzema has been heavily linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu in recent weeks, with the Gunners extremely keen on the France international.
Last week it was reported that Real rejected an initial £31million Arsenal bid for Benzema, with the La Liga giants demanding at least £40million for the striker.
This has therefore prompted Arsenal to up their offer to £35million, with the club confident they can land the 27-year-old before the end of the transfer window.
Last week Gunners director Lord Harris claimed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has the funds to buy almost any player, and is allowed to spend at least £50million in the summer market.
Wenger has also been boosted by the news that England international Theo Walcott has agreed to sign a four-year deal, which would keep him at the Emirates until 2019.
