Arsenal manager facing injury crisis

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed midfield duo Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta will be out for two games through injury.

The pair were forced off in the first-half of the north London derby with calf and hamstring complaints.

With the French manager confirming that both will have to miss out on their midweek Champions League clash with Galatasary.

They will also miss out on next weekend’s derby against Chelsea, with midfielder Jack Wilshere also a doubt.

“I don’t know how long they’ll be out but they will be out until next week,” Wenger said of Arteta and Ramsey.

“Wilshere, I don’t know. The two others are out for Chelsea for sure.

“Suddenly we are short because if we lost three players today, and let’s not forgot that we already have two out long-term.

“Plus Theo Walcott, that’s six and Abou Diaby is not ready so it starts to become a worry.”
