Arsenal manager linked with SHOCKING Monaco return

Arsenal will need to keep a close eye on Monaco as the Ligue 1 side are trying to lure Arsene Wenger back to his former side despite having been at the club for 18 years, Daily Mail reports.

The French side admitted to representatives being in contact with the Gunners boss during their visit for the Emirates cup with their Vice President Vadim Vasilyev also admitting that Wenger still has a strong connection to the team.

He said: “For Monaco he is part of our history, part of our heritage.

“He is doing an amazing job. I don’t know if one day he will want to come back, but we keep a very good relationship. Last time we exchanged was during the Emirates Cup. He keeps a strong affection for Monaco.”

Vasilyev added: “Our ambition is to be one of the clubs that plays regularly in the Champions League.”

However, it is highly unlikely for the French manager to leave the Emirates as he only signed a new three-year contract extension back in May.
