Angel Di Maria recently gave comments highlighting the fact that he doesn’t have control over his future at Real Madrid with Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United all preparing to step in, Daily Star reports.
The Argentinian star had a massive performance at the weekend when his team beat city rivals Atletico Madrid to be crowned champions of Europe for the 10th time.
When Gareth Bale, who became the world’s most expensive player signed at the beginning of last season, Di Maria’s place in the squad was at stake and was poised for a move away from the Bernabeu.
However, Carlo Ancelotti found a way to include all his attacking superstars, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, and Di Maria into his formation, resulting in a series of good performances for the former Benfica man.
He admitted to wanting to remain as part of the Madrid set up but would be open to whatever his representatives and his side have in store for him.
“I am not going to lie, I know that there are clubs that want to sign me and can match Real Madrid’s demands,” Di Maria told MARCA.
“But that’s up to my representatives and the club. I will stay if the club wants me to stay.
“I am not thinking about my future now. We will see what Madrid have in mind, whether they want me to stay or leave.
“I am happy at Madrid. I had a great season and always had everybody’s support.
“But sometimes you don’t have a choice, even when you want to stay yourself.”
