Arsenal have submitted an enquiry in regards to the availability of Celta Vigo ace Nolito, according to reports from the Mirror.
Nolito has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bailados in recent weeks, with Barcelona also keen on the Spanish winger.
However, the Gunners have the upper hand in the chase for his signature, as Barca are unable to pay his £15million price tag this January and will look for a loan option elsewhere.
Celta are now working on a new contract to convince Nolito to stay at the club, but the 29-year-old would possibly receive a 250% wage increase if he was to join Arsenal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is desperate to add more attacking players into his squad, with the club once again struggling with injuries.
But the North London club turned their form around with their first league win in four games following their victory over Sunderland on Saturday.
