The Danish forward has already played under Bruce at Birmingham and Sunderland and almost made a permanent £3million switch to the KC Stadium earlier this month, but Hull could not afford his £50,000-a-week wage demands.
However, Bruce has admitted that flop Proschwitz is struggling to adapt to the English game and could be sold before Tuesday’s transfer deadline, which may free up enough funds to reignite his interest in Bendtner.
He told Mirror Football: “Nick’s problem is that he has not been able to adapt to the English game. He hasn’t quite grasped it.
“The physicality is something he finds difficult. That’s a struggle for him.
“We shall see what the options are for him going forward but he is like anyone – he needs to play and he is not getting that here. There might be an opportunity to move, but we shall see.”
Bendtner has not featured for Arsenal since August 2011 failed to impress while on-loan at Juventus last season, but he is eager for first team Premier League football it is believed he would be willing to link up with Bruce again.
Bendtner made his Arsenal debut in 2005 and has since made 157 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, scoring 45 goals.
