Arsenal are still interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani despite a failed move in the summer, according to Fichajes, as reported by the Metro.
The 28-year-old is said to be manager Arsene Wenger’s top striking target, but the Frenchman refused to sanction a £50million move for his services.
However, it is still believed that the Gunners may continue their pursuit of the player during the January window or at the end of the current campaign.
Despite Theo Walcott, who urged his manager to convert him into a striker, being on-form so far this season, Wenger is still keen to add another world class forward into his front lines.
With the club unwilling to meet the £50million demands from PSG, it is still unsure whether the Premier League giants can reach an agreement over a desired transfer fee.
Cavani is once again on good form for the Ligue 1 champions this term, so far scoring eight goals from a total of 12 appearances in all competitions.
