Arsenal are considering a move to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus during the January window in order to reinforce their back line, according to reports from the Metro.
The 21-year-old is said to have been a potential defensive target for manager Arsene Wenger earlier in the summer, with an offer worth about £15.4million believed to have been tabled.
He impressed while on loan at Empoli last term, and was being scouted by Gunners staff while featuring for the Italy Under-21 squad in their recent 1-0 victory over Slovenia Under-21.
However, despite his performance, Juventus are still unable to guarantee him a regular playing role, a factor that could see him sent out on loan once the window reopens in January.
Rugani was a regular feature for Empoli while on loan the previous term, featuring in all 38 league matches, scoring three goals and even managed to impress everyone by avoiding any yellow or red cards throughout the campaign.
