Arsenal are considering a move to sign Barcelona starlet Alejandro Grimaldo as they look to build for the future, Metro reports.
The 20-year-old has now emerged as yet another target for the Premier League club who have a history of signing players from Barca’s academy.
Previous signings include Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas as well as current right-back Hector Bellerin, with the pair both succeeding in their careers so far.
Grimaldo is now the next target being linked with an exit given that he is yet to feature for the senior squad and could now be pushing for an exit.
However, the Gunners are not alone in the race for his services as Benfica, Porto, and Bayern Munich are also said to be keen on acquiring his services.
Should the left-back complete his switch to the Emirates, he could build a strong partnership with Bellerin in order to build for the future.
He featured in the Spanish second division so far 16 times this term and has registered two goals while picking up another two assists.
