Arsenal are confident that star winger Alexis Sanchez will shake off his injury in time for their clash against Norwich City on Sunday, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Sanchez picked up a hamstring problem after playing 90 minutes against Dinamo Zagreb in a Champions League clash on Tuesday, in which the Chile international grabbed a brace and an assist in an impressive 3-0 victory.
And Wenger admitted that he wanted to take Sanchez off during the game, but he had no option after using all three substitutes in the fixture.
However, the Frenchman is optimistic that the 26-year-old will recover in time for their trip to Carrow Road, with the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott still not yet ready to return from their respective injuries.
Wenger said: “How will I decide if I rest Sanchez? I’ll take information from medical people who know him and treat him every day.
“But as long as the guys are in confidence and they score goals; it is always difficult to rest them. “
Wenger will also be hoping that Joel Campbell shakes off a calf strain he picked up against Dinamo, in which he will be assessed before the weekend.
