Arsenal are preparing another offer for Manchester United star Michael Carrick, who they tried to sign on three previous occasions, according to reports from the Mirror.
The Gunners have been linked with moves for Carrick in the past, with manager Arsene Wenger a big fan of the centre midfielder ever since his days playing for Tottenham Hotspur.
And the Frenchman could finally land the England international, as Carrick’s contract with the Red Devils expires at the end of the season.
The North London club will undergo a major midfield reshuffle this summer, with the likes of Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta, and Tomas Rosicky all set to depart.
Although Southampton’s Victor Wanyama is the Gunners’ first choice, Wenger will be keeping an eye on Carrick in the hopes that he does not extend his contract with Man United.
However, French champions Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on Carrick, and with the former Spurs ace already 34, he could choose to follow the likes of Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard to the MLS as well.
