The future of Alexis Sanchez has been up for debate ever since things went sour at The Emirates earlier this season, however, according to reports from El Mercurio in his home country, things could well about to become a lot clearer.

The South American publication claim that the Gunners are prepared to green light a £50m deal which will take the Chilean to Germany giants Bayern Munich, who are happy to pay the fee.

Earlier in the week, Sanchez's international teammate Arturo Vidal revealed that he had told bosses at The Allianz to move for the Arsenal winger.

Furthermore the Bundesliga champions, lifting the title in Carlo Ancelotti's first season in charge, are set to pay Sanchez a whopping £10m-a-season should they finalise a deal.

It would seem that, with just a year left on 28-year-old's deal, the powers that be at The Emirates would rather accept that he is leaving and make money whilst they can instead of losing him for far less, or potentially nothing, further down the line.
