Arsenal are ready to step up their chase for Valencia defender Jose Luis Gaya after he is believed to have rejected a contract extension at the club, according to reports from the Metro.
The 19-year-old is also being tracked by European champions Real Madrid and is said to be listening to offers in order to be given an exit route.
He has been in negotiations with the La Liga side the past few weeks, but with contract talks now sitting at a standstill, manager Arsene Wenger is ready to persuade him to the Emirates.
The left-back is said to be worth around the region of £14.6million, but the Gunners will need to consider decent wages if they are to compete with Madrid for his services.
Luis Gaya has been a key member for Valencia throughout the campaign, rising through their youth ranks and has already featured 33 times in all competitions, scoring two goals.
