Nolito was heavily linked with a move away from the Estadio de Balaidos during the summer, with Barcelona reportedly keen on the winger.
And recently it has been clear why, with the 28-year-old starting the new La Liga campaign brilliantly scoring five goals and supplying three assists in just six games.
His performances have therefore alerted the Gunners, with Arsene Wenger willing to pay up his buy-out clause in order to lure him to the Premier League.
Celta Vigo manager Eduardo Berizzo has already revealed that he is powerless to stop the attacker leaving if a club meets the players’ release clause, despite wanting to hold on to his star asset.
Berizzo said: “If someone pays his release clause, we will find a replacement just as we would do with any other player.
“It would be an important loss for us and it would mean we would have to search for an important replacement.”
Last season, Nolito made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing 14 assists.
