Arsenal have received a major boost ahead of their clash against Sunderland this weekend, with Theo Walcott and Laurent Koscielny set to recover from injury in time for the fixture, London Evening Standard reports.
The Gunners are currently going through nothing short of an injury crisis, with no less than ten players recovering or sidelined with respective problems.
However, Walcott and Koscielny are hoping to make it back in time for Saturday and are set to undergo late fitness tests to evaluate their situation.
In a press conference, manager Arsene Wenger revealed that the duo could both make the squad, before then adding that Kieran Gibbs is once again available after missing their last game with Norwich City.
He told Arsenal.com: “We will make a decision on Saturday on Koscielny and Walcott, they could both make the squad. Gibbs is available again for the weekend.”
Arsenal’s long injury list at present includes Tomas Rosicky, Danny Welbeck, Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin, Mikel Arteta, and midfield pair Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla, who were both injured during the 1-1 draw with the Canaries.
