Arsenal have once again entered the race to sign Liverpool attacking target Stephan El Shaarawy from AC Milan, according to reports from the Telegraph.
The 22-year-old was linked with a move to the Emirates ahead of the January window, while the Reds were also tracking his situation throughout the campaign.
His agent also admitted that he received a number of offers in the winter, but revealed that El Shaarawy is happy to be part of the Milan setup.
“I’ve had some requests from abroad, even in January. But Stephan is at home with Milan and doesn’t feel the need to leave,” he said.
“He has a good relationship with the fans, the club and his teammates.”
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is prepared to table an offer of about £11.8million for the Italian winger in hopes of beating Kop manager Brendan Rodgers to his signature.
The Italy international has been having a lot of problems with injuries so far, causing him to miss a large number of games.
He has only started 12 Serie A matches this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists, with his agent adding that unless the club want him to go, he is not likely to accept any proposed offers.
“If Milan were to tell us that Stephan needs to go elsewhere then we’d sit round the table and talk about it.”
