Arsenal are ready to make a move for Torino right-back Bruno Peres after glowing scouting reports returned from their time watching the Brazilian wideman, according to Gazzetta World.
The Gunners have already added Granit Xhaka to their squad this summer but the Swiss midfielder is the only high-profile arrival at the Emirates Stadium as yet.
Although a centre-half and striker are priorities in the transfer window, a new right-back to provide competition for Hector Bellerin may well also be in Arsene Wenger’s thoughts.
Peres has been on Torino’s books for two seasons and impressed with his ability to break forward from deep and delivery.
The 26-year-old also scored a wondergoal against the Turin club’s bitter rivals Juventus, making himself a fans favourite in the process.
With the ability to play as a wing-back or right winger also, Peres’ addition could well offer versatility and strength in depth to the Gunners.
