Hoffenheim’s Roberto Firmino has been watched by Arsenal’s scouting network, that is according to reports in the Mirror.
The Bundesliga star is being lined up for a move to the Emirates should Santi Cazorla return to La Liga with last season’s Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid interested in the Spanish international.
Firmino, whose ability to play on the left of the attack, as the main centre-forward or in his favoured No.10 position will appeal to Arsene Wenger, has made 23 appearances in Germany’s top flight so far this campaign and has notched six goals and seven assists in the process.
Cazorla, who is in his third season with the north London-based club, will have one season left on his current at the end of this campaign, with Diego Simeone reportedly encourgaed by the noises being made by the former Villarreal and Malaga midfielder’s advisers.
Firmino is rated at £20-million by Hoffenheim.
