Arsenal are nearing a double January deal for young Nigerian duo Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze, according to reports from the Express.
The pair have been heavily linked with a move to several top clubs in recent weeks following their exploits in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, in which they led Nigeria to the title last year.
Nwakali was the captain during their triumph, being name the player of the tournament while Chukwueze also showed brilliance as a winger.
And according to The Times, the Gunners have jumped ahead of Bayern Munich in the race for their signatures.
It seems that the duo will arrive at the Emirates via a deal in the region of £3million, with their agents and guardians already in London to discuss their immediate futures.
Arsenal are currently in fine form on top of the Premier League table ahead of their clash at Anfield against Jurgen Klopp’s injury-plagued Liverpool side on Wednesday.
