Arsenal set to move for Milosevic

Arsenal are set to beat a number of clubs in the race for talented Swedish left-back Alexanxder Milosevic, The Sun claims.

The 19-year old has impressed for AIK Stockholm this season making 10 appearances for the club and been watched by scouts of several Premier League clubs. Interest is high in the young defender who could fetch £3.5 million. Milosevic only moved to AIK this season from Vasalunds IF but has made enough of an impact to warrant a move to England.

Arsenal already have Kieran Gibbs on their books who has impressed and made his England debut last summer. But, with Gael Clichy stalling on a new contract and several clubs weighing up bids for the French international, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger could be forced to cash in and reportedly sees Milosevic as an ideal replacement.

The likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland have also reportedly had the defender watched. Liverpool were short of cover at left-back last season and were often forced to play Glen Johnson out of position. However, the Anfield club are one of the teams linked with a move for Clichy.
