Arsenal set to offer bumper new deal

Arsenal are set to offer manager Arsene Wenger a bumper new contract to avoid interest from PSG, according to The Sun.

The Gunners were contemplating the future of their long serving boss recently after a poor start to the Premier League season and a less than pro-active transfer window.

However after comfortably qualifying for the Champions League group stage coupling with the big money signing of Mesut Ozil and derby day victory over Tottenham Hotspur, the Arsenal board are set to offer the Frenchman a new deal.

Paris St Germain are expected to approach Wenger next summer to become their new boss but Arsenal are not willing to let their man go due to the lack of replacements in European football at present.

The Gunners fans were getting more and more frustrated with Wenger this summer after failing to add new players to the squad and jeers rang around the Emirates after their opening day defeat to Aston Villa along with banners of unrest being held aloft during Arsenal’s victory at Fulham last month.
