Arsenal are considering the idea of including Theo Walcott in a swap deal to increase their chances of completing a move for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling, according to reports from the Daily Star.
It is believed that the Reds will be looking for a £20million offer, along with the services of Walcott, in order to see Sterling move in the opposite direction.
The current Gunners star was close to making a switch to Anfield the previous summer, with the two teams negotiating a potential swap deal involving former striker Luis Suarez.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers could be forced to sell his prized attacker as he is yet to agree to the terms of a new contract extension, a move that is making the England international look as though he is in control of the situation.
Walcott is also looking forward to a new challenge, as he may have lost a regular place under Arsene Wenger after missing out through injury for an extended period of time.
