Manchester City are believed to be preparing a huge offer for the England international as the need to fill their homegrown quota remains high on the agenda.

Wilshere has, yet again, suffered an injury hit season for Arsene Wenger’s side and, when everyone is fit, Le Professeur has struggled at times to fit the tenacious midfielder into his starting XI due to Arsenal’s wealth of attacking midfield options.
Should the Gunners choose to sell to the team they trail by one point to in the Premier League, it would continue the trend of Arsenal losing their high profile players to the two Manchester clubs – Gael Clichy, Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie.
Wilshere has only made seven starts in the Premier League this season, and has just registered one goal and assist.
