Arsenal are making a fresh attempt to sign Paris St Germain starlet Adrien Rabiot, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Gunners made an approach for the 19-year-old in the summer, and looked as though they were going to complete a deal – only for the move to collapse.
But Arsene Wenger is keen to sound out his fellow countryman ahead of a January move, with the talented midfielder yet to sign a new contract with the French champions.
They face competition from Italian giants Roma, but Arsenal will hope Wenger’s French connection will see them pip them to the signing.
PSG are keen to keep a hold of Rabiot, and are looking to offer him a lucrative new contract.
But the midfielder has become frustrated with his lack of regular first team football in the French capital, and is keen to engineer a cut price move away in January.
His current contract expires at the end of the season, so Arsenal are hopeful of signing him for as little as £5million.
But reports suggest Roma are not the only other contenders for his signature, with Juventus and AC Milan also monitoring the situation.
