Ramsey has been in scintillating form this season for the Gunners scoring 11 times in all competitions including the winner away at Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.
Manchester United released a story back in 2008 claiming that they had agreed a deal with Cardiff for then 17 year old Ramsey, but the Bluebirds also accepted £5million bids from Arsenal and David Moyes’ former club Everton.
Ramsey chose to move to the Emirates and is now reaping his rewards, becoming one of the top midfielders in the country.
Meanwhile United spent most of the summer scouring Europe for a world class centre midfielder with bids for the likes of Thiago and Cesc Fabregas rejected by Barcelona.
Ramsey has taken five years to show his best form but what Moyes would do to have the Welshman in his squad ahead of Sunday’s clash.
