Arsenal ace Santi Cazorla has praised new summer signing Danny Welbeck as a better finisher when compared to injured striker Olivier Giroud, Daily Star reports.
Welbeck was a deadline signing by the Gunners due to the long-term absence of Giroud after the Frenchman suffered an ankle fracture in their 2-2 draw against Everton back in August.
And despite only scoring one goal in four games for the London club, team-mate Santi Cazorla claims that the Englishman will be banging in goals with ease in the near future.
“He is a very different player to the ones we have had before at Arsenal,” he said.
“He is a clinical finisher, quick and always looking for space. Olivier Giroud is a different kind of striker. He is good at heading and is strong, but Welbeck, perhaps, is providing something new to the team.
“We will make the most of having him as it is a big advantage to this side.”
The 23-year-old was often criticized during his time with Man United for his rather low goal to game ratio, however Welbeck was often deployed in a wider role compared to the more central position he now occupies at the Emirates.
The Gunners’ next game is a Champions League clash against Galatasary at the Emirate Stadium on Tuesday.
